|
![]() Jessica de Oro Girls Counselor | School: Walla Walla University Year: Sophomore Major: Spanish/ Social work Major Age: 20 Favorite Pastime: I love to travel and see new parts of the world. Taking the time to make someone happy brings me pure joy, and exploring the world through the eye of a lens lets me see just how much God really cares. Embarking on random adventures and spending quality time with friends and family are top on the list yet the little things prove to be just a pleasing. Favorite Text: The LOVE chapter: 1st Corinthians chapter 13. If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing. If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don't have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are various languages, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with…But now faith, hope, and love remain--these three. The greatest of these is love. |

![]() Evan Kinne Recreation Director | School: Walla Walla University Year: Senior Major: Business Administration (pre-med/chem) Age: 22 Favorite Pastime: Ski Mountaineering Favorite Text: Psalm 23 1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. ![]() Sharon Canaday Arts Crafts Director | School: I attended Walla Walla College - graduated in 1991. Major: my majors were Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education - (with a minor in Art). Favorite Pastime: I don't get much free time, but that is mostly because I have a 'job' that I love, which takes up most of my time, being a full-time-mom to six active kids, three of whom are home schooled. When I do manage to find a few minutes, I love to read, and keep in touch with family and friends via e-mail and facebook. I like to try to keep my mind sharp solving logic puzzles, such as sudoku or "Japanese crosswords" (which are not from Japan, nor do they have anything to do with words! - ask me about them!) I enjoy just about any creative art that you can name, but do spend most of my 'free' time either sewing, scrapbooking or stamping. We are also a pretty active family in our church, helping with Pathfinders, VBS and Oregon Campmeeting activities, and we love to camp whenever we get a chance. Favorite Text: There are alot, but the one that has had repeatedly deep impact on my life is Jeremiah 29:11 I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. I spent alot of years of my youth, thinking God was just up there waiting for me to mess up, so He could mark my name off the list. It is such a refreshing knowledge to know that He is a loving God who wants the best for his Children, and has mapped out our lives in a way that has our best interest at heart. And it brings great peace to my life, to know that God is in control, and when I'm not sure what to do, or even what to think, about something that already happened, I can rest in the knowledge that He knows what is going on, and is working for the better good of all of His children, and He LOVES us! |

Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. |
